This t-shirt features original art of Iranian-American artist + activist Parisa Parnian. It is the image of three women who are protesting in the streets, holding signs that say "Woman Life Freedom", "Zan Zendegi Azadi" and "Jin Jiyan Azadi". This art is Parisa's contribution to the one year anniversary of the uprisings in Iran that the death of Kurdish-Iranian woman Mahsa Jina Amini on September 16, 2022.
By ordering and wearing (or gifting this t-shirt) you are not only commemorating this uprising and keeping the ongoing human rights issues in Iran, Afghanistan, etc on the radar and sparking dialogue, but you are also helping support Parisa Parnian who continues to dedicate her life and creative practice to creating art, food, culture and visibility for marginalized communities, especially in the Iranian/SWANA women's and LGBTQI+ populations that are the most at risk.
Note: This t-shirt is "made to order" and is printed with my original art and shipped to you directly from my printer. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
